Born and raised in the Wild West of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sydney has always had an adventurous spirit and a love for telling stories. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with degrees in Creative Writing and Communication. Here, she cultivated her passion for strategic communication and project management. Longing to achieve her lifelong dream of living near a beach, Sydney moved to Florida after graduating college to be close to family.

Throughout high school, Sydney competed nationally in compound archery, traveling the country to participate in United States team trial tournaments, even living as a resident athlete at the Chula Vista Olympic Athlete Training center for a week. She is a Level 2 Certified Archery Instructor and enjoys teaching others how to master the bow, as well as master the art of performing well under pressure.

An avid writer, Sydney spends her free time working on a novel manuscript (which has +55,000 words). She’s applied her love for storytelling and audience interpretation to working with her clients at Rock Paper Simple and helping them best understand the “story of their business” within their marketing needs. Outside of work, you can catch her perusing antique stores for vintage decor, visiting the beach, listening to folk rock music, and going on evening runs. She is obsessed with all things matcha flavored, and like her teammates at Rock Paper Simple, she will never say no to coffee.

Sydney is a Client Success Manager here at Rock Paper Simple and is excited to build relationships with her clients, understanding their unique audience’s needs, and helping their marketing visions to succeed.
